About the film
Raj took a national title in thirty seconds. Two years later a highway took the woman who taught him the only thing he ever really learned — that whatever happens in there, you get back up. For fifteen years he didn't. Same alarm, same train, same chair, seventh from the window. Then a twenty-two-year-old at the next desk asked him to teach him to fight. BUDDIES WITH A BOXER is about the difference between fighting to win something and fighting for someone.
