About the film

I spent about a month making this post-apocalyptic sci-fi short film with AI. It’s called MACHINE ERA. This is my second AIGC short film, and I’m really happy to finally share it with you. There are still plenty of things I want to improve, but I learned a lot while making this one. 17 actually became one of my favorite characters along the way — both her design and personality were a bit of a happy accident. The characters, environments, storyboards, script and video shots were all built piece by piece with AI. I worked on it on and off for about a month, changed a lot of shots, and definitely ran into plenty of problems along the way. I’m not a filmmaker, but I’ve always wanted to make something that feels cinematic and tells an actual story. And now it’s finally finished. Hope you enjoy MACHINE ERA.
