The Dream, an AI film by Melipo Studio

About the film

This video is a little different from what I usually publish on this channel. I created “The Dream” for the Higgsfield Global Film Festival 2026 and wanted to use the opportunity to tell a more personal story. The film follows a boy who dreams of bringing stories to life through film. As the years pass, work, responsibility, love and family take over, and the dream slowly moves further away. But it never completely disappears. Then something changes. For this project, I deliberately did not want to create a typical AI showcase built around constant action, spectacle and visual effects. I wanted to explore whether AI could also be used to tell a coherent, emotional story with recurring visual ideas and a clear narrative thread. Many of the images in the film begin as memories or childhood ideas: a dinosaur drawn in the sand, an airplane on paper, a gaze toward the ocean, and imagined worlds that only existed in a child's mind.
