About the film

CUT HERE — a short film (4:57) Harold, a retired film editor, cuts the imperfect moments out of his home movies of Rose. Every frame he removes disappears from his life as well. When he finally splices the pieces back together, the joins are crooked — and this time he lets them stay. Made for the Higgsfield Global Film Festival 2026. All video was generated inside Higgsfield Cinema Studio; editing, sound and compositing done externally. Written, directed and edited by Berkay Abalı Music: none — projector, room tone and the memories themselves. "Not this time."
