About the film

Adrift in a sea of fog, a lone boatman clings to the memories and regrets of a life he cannot leave behind. Sea of Fog is a short film about grief, regret and letting go, created as our official submission for the Higgsfield Global Film Festival @HiggsfieldAI The concept was originally created in 2021 by Jake Speer, with the idea of developing it as a longer form animation. When the Higgsfield Global Film Festival came along, we saw an opportunity to strip the story back to its emotional core and explore it as a short, using AI filmmaking tools to create a kind of moving concept art.
