About the film
A routine ferry crossing above a vast sinkhole becomes a test of what, and who, is worth saving. The Weight of Gold takes advantage of Seedream 5.0 Pro to build it's aesthetic. It's a stylised fantasy short about wealth, kindness and the value we place on others. A worker, an operator, and two passengers share a suspended ferry with one precious case. Then a rocky snail brings their journey to a halt. Inspired by other filmmakers in the Higgsfield Global Film Festival, I created this film to explore Seedream 5.0 Pro’s illustrated style and Seedance 2.5’s character animation. The production combines image and video generation in Higgsfield with Blender previs, a Suno score, and traditional editing.
