About the film

In a world engineered to never fail, two parents are about to find out what it was never built to do. Iris is, at its core, a look at where the future is heading — told as a message aimed at the generations still to come. We're keeping the full story close to the chest for now, since part of what we want the film to do is let audiences arrive at that message on their own terms. Iris was made for two reasons at once: to submit to the festival, and to keep a running challenge alive — making a complete film using AI for every part of the process, video and audio both. We attempted this once before, but the score was outsourced that time. With Iris, the music is ours too, which makes this the first fully self-made attempt end to end. Beyond the competition, the point of the project is simply to keep testing what we can build when imagination is the only real constraint Every film like this is a way of pushing the process further and coming back with something better than the last one
