About the film

LAST SIGNAL is a short sci-fi film I've been building for the Higgsfield Global Film Festival. A wounded engineer, Maya Vale, is trapped in a collapsing control room during a storm. With her leg crushed and the power failing, she drags herself to the facility's antenna and sends one last distress signal. Somewhere out in the dark, a rescue pilot named Rook hears it. I'm a solo 3D artist, so this was a one-person effort from start to finish. I blocked scenes out in Blender first, generated the shots with Seedance 2.5 inside Higgsfield's Cinema Studio, and cut and graded everything in DaVinci Resolve. It took a lot of late nights, a lot of retakes, and more than a few lessons learned. Being honest: in the rush before the deadline I uploaded the wrong file to the event, so the version on my entry isn't the cut I meant to send. This is the version I'm proud of, and I wanted it out there anyway. Not at the finish line, on the road. Thanks for watching, and there's more coming. TO BE CO
